A Journey Through Time
Let’s take you on a journey through time when Mr. Adipta Majumder started his company. In 2018, Kabita Foodhouse India Private Limited was established, which was later rebranded to Kahhak Industries Private Limited.
Mr. Majumder rebranded his company to Kahhak because the name had a deeper meaning. Kahhak is a conjugation of two Hindi words, ‘Kisika’ and ‘Hak’, which jointly mean ‘One’s Right.’ Our founder formulated this name because he believes Indian customers have the right to world-class products and services.
Kahhak Industries, headquartered in Kolkata, paved the way for other companies under our founder’s leadership. He started Cream of Ice, a gourmet gelato shop that rebranded to Kahhak Creamery.
In 2019, Mr. Majumder stepped foot into the hospitality sector with The Art of Dumpling in Delhi. He started Kahhak Publishers in 2022, a new-age publishing company that caters to new and seasoned authors of today.
Kolkata got a new name for fast food that is safe and hygienic with Kahhak Eatery in 2023. In 2024, Kahhak Industries stepped into the entertainment industry with Kahhak Studios. In the same year, Lavanya Bharat was introduced that prioritizes elegant, fine-silver jewelry for everyday wear.
Immersive Hospitality to Fast-Moving Consumer Goods
Mr. Adipta Majumder rose to culinary fame with The Art of Dumplings, which was recognized as the ‘Best New World Cuisine Restaurant’ (Standalone) by the Food Food Awards in 2019. The Times of India awarded TAOD with the ‘Times Food Delivery Awards’ and Icons of Asia in 2022 awarded TAOD with the Best National/Regional Pan-Asian Restaurant of the Year Award.
Mr. Majumder was awarded the Global Icon Award 2022 for The Art of Dumpling. All the recognition led to several other awards, which highlighted his commitment to innovation and quality. This led to Kahhak Industries starting several companies in other sectors, from publishing to consumer goods.
